Our Gardeners visit “Gardening Club”

Our Group of Gardeners made a visit on Wednesday 30 April 2025 to the “Gardening Club” at Crews Hill, near Enfield in North London.

After a leisurely lunch at the near by hostelry – the Plough – we moved on to the Gardening Club which is an enormous group of greenhouses and courtyards, full of plants for sale. It claims to be the largest Garden Centre in Crews Hill.

We spent a couple of hours looking through the many selections of plants. In particular, we were most impressed with one display of Bottle Brush Plants for sale, alongside a selection of citrus trees also for sale. With the changes in our climate, a citrus tree might be a viable option for our gardens in North West London.

Also there were countless summer bedding plants available at very reasonable prices. Nearly all our party ended up buying something and were very pleased with the prices that were charged and the quality of the plants.

Our next meeting will be on 14 May 2025 at 2:00pm in the HDMC.
