Rambling Along Pymme’s Brook

On Sunday 22 October 2023, we continued our exploration of North London, with this circular walk starting and ending at Tottenham Hale.

It is a very easy walk  as it on mostly on level tarmac and towpaths, helped by the fact that it was a warm, bright, and sunny day. We walked along the towpath past the narrow-boats and barges which brought us to the Stonebridge Lock on the River Lee Navigation. The dog friendly Waterside Café  here provided a chance to have tea/coffee and watch the boats go through the lock.

We continued the walk through the park up to the Chalk Bridge and returned to the start with the Tottenham Marshes on our right. We finished by going around the Paddock  which has been created as a wildlife nature reserve for insects and birdlife.
