Members of our Gardening Group took time off from the hard work of maintaining their own gardens on Wednesday 23 August 2023, to enjoy a discussion about all things horticultural in the garden of one of the members. We are grateful to Robert and Gill for opening their garden and hosting this session. Above is a selection of dahlias doing particularly well in their garden.

Topics discussed included maintenance and rejuvenation of fruit trees, identification of strange caterpillars, production of tomatoes, local historical orchards, encouraging wild life to control garden pests, managing gluts and shortages, and much more besides. We all came away with new ideas to put into practice in our own gardens.
