Our Cryptic Crossword solving group met on Wednesday 10 June 2026 for another session. There was a selection of puzzles for the members to work on individually, and then to share their solutions and explanations.

One of the puzzles to solve came from the u3a Matters Magazine, and hidden amongst the answers the group found John, George, Paul and Ringo as well as Eleanor Rigby!

As well as the magazine there were puzzles from national newspapers to solve. We also learned about “unconsidered trifles! and who snapped them up!
