On 27 August 2025 our Gardening Group made an excursion to The Barbican in the City of London to have a look at the conservatory there on the fourth floor of the Barbican Centre.

With our own City of London Guide showing us the way, we were able to look at the Barbican Estate before climbing to the fourth floor – either using the stairs or taking the lift – and enjoying the really interesting planting.

As well as a large selection of succulents as shown above, there were spectacular hibiscus and bougainvillea as shown below.

Our next meeting will be on 22 October 2025 as our gardeners are all too busy in September!
